GRR Number: 16-052

Type of Surrender: Owner Surrender

Status: Available

Age: 6-7

Weight: 90 pounds, goal weight 60-65 pounds

Personality: Ziggy, who is “a big lug” as his foster refers to him, loves people and all the attention he can get from them. Typically Golden, he craves those belly rubs. He gets excited when it’s walk time, biting at and attempting to hold the leash as if to take himself for that walk. He does tire out easily, but that’s okay, because he’s on a diet and already seems to be losing some of those pesky unwanted pounds.

Ziggy is friendly and gentle and also excitable, but not to the extent that he won’t settle down when asked. Since he does seem to be blessed with the standard Golden personality, he’s anxious to love and to be loved by people and by other dogs. Basically, this means he is eager to please any two-legged friends and not bossy with those friends with four legs.

He’s well behaved and is allowed to roam the house freely. He sleeps through the night and doesn’t seem to have any naughty habits. He likes to go for rides in the car (preferably in the front seat!) and doesn’t even seem to mind having a bath. (Of course he is a Golden Retriever, so what’s not to like about getting wet?)

Ideal Home: Ziggy would love to go home to family with a big yard and plenty of people to play with him and give him the love, care, attention and exercise that  he has so dearly missed in is pre-GRR life.
