Sadly, my sweet Daisy (22-009 Sady) has crossed the bridge. A an ulceration found on her lip/ jowl in November was confirmed as an aggressive cancer in a location too tricky to address surgically.
We’ve been providing palliative care and up until very recently, she was still happy and comfortable. A check in with her vet earlier this week determined that her jawbone had become exposed and her pain would become unbearable soon.
She was very gently euthanized on Thursday afternoon with me holding her.
She was my 7th from GRR; joining me as a foster in late January 2022. I was honored with the chance to adopt her in April. We had just over a year together and she was a joyful, happy girl throughout.
Thanks to all of you for bringing her to GRR and giving me the opportunity to love on her this past year. I’m forever grateful. Sharing an early photo that I just love
