Personality: Meet Charles Lee Pancake (CLP as we affectionately refer to him as), an absolutely adorable 8-month-old golden retriever who's been facing digestive challenges pretty much all his life.  If Charles is given anything to eat other than a homemade rice and turkey mixture, he will have explosive diarrhea for days. His previous owner couldn't meet his dietary needs, but thankfully, he's found his way to Gold Ribbon Rescue, where we're committed to helping him recover.  Under the close supervision of his vets and foster parents, we're currently carrying out an in-depth food trial with subscription-based food to ease his symptoms.

CLP is an incredibly sweet, playful, and loving puppy! He enjoys exploring all the smells of the world around him on walks and soaking up the morning sun with a good roll in the grass. He has a very curious personality and wants to see and smell everything up close. He impresses us every day with how smart he is and how quickly he is learning! He is constantly offering us his unconditional love and trust when he snuggle.

Given the severity of Charles's issues, our utmost priority is ensuring that Charles feels safe and comfortable throughout the process.  Our veterinary experts have advised his foster family to be extremely cautious with his food, and toys.  Since there are other goldens in his foster home, all the toys in the house do have cross-contamination that cannot be washed out. They've also been instructed to wash their hands frequently to prevent cross-contamination from other dogs or human food. On the advice of our vets, his foster mother has purchased new food and water bowls.  We humbly ask for your help in providing this adorable pup with essential items and new toys for his foster family. Your support can play a significant role in Charles's journey towards better health.  Check back for updates on how CLP is doing.
