Sunny Skies & Honey are a beautiful bonded pair of Golden gals who are both former breeding dogs. These ladies were surrendered in somewhat poor conditions and had spent a great deal of time living in kennels. Sunny & Honey are sweet girls who aim to please and are making great strides with time, patience and LOTS of love.
Sunny Skies, the more outgoing of the pair, loves treats and loves chewing on Nylabones. She is a bit on the mellow side and is quite an attention seeker (she wants all of the pets and scratches). Sunny is very friendly to other people she encounters and is talented at getting treats from her puzzle-like treat dispenser. Sunny is learning some basic commands such as “sit” and “down” and is an overall lovely dog to have around. Sunny's foster mom describes her as playful, active and friendly. This happy-go-lucky girl acts much younger than her 9 years. Sunny loves walks and playtime, enjoys searching for squirrels and watching deer in the back yard.
Honey is a bit more reserved and low key, she warms up with a little time and loves to bring human(s) a plushie when someone returns back home. Honey enjoys the company of familiar humans and has bonded with the people in her home. This sweet girl craves attention and love, but can be shy as well. Honey has learned to enjoy having plushie toys and will try to hold more than one in her mouth at a time - she has even retrieved them sporadically! Honey is calm and sweet and loves all the pets that she can receive. Her foster mom describes Honey as loyal, loving, happy and quiet. This laid back, gentle girl is well behaved and loves sitting in the pool --- smart girl on a hot summer afternoon.
Ideal Home: The most important thing for Sunny Skies and Honey is a family who can provide a home for both of them together. Both dogs would do well in a quieter home where someone is around often to fawn over and spoil them. Sunny Skies can be reactive to other dogs (Honey excluded, of course) if she is provoked, so this pair needs to be the only dogs in their home.
