We hear laughter, voices, and even noise coming from a big screen hanging on a wall. We see warmth through the window. We watch how the humans sit together at a table to eat, smile, and even hug each other sometimes. We have heard rumors that some doggies live inside with the humans, though we have not witnessed this ourselves. We hope to one day have a place we call home.
We have been together our entire lives and are each other’s family. We are now enjoying the good life with our foster family. But oh, how we dream of coming home and being part of your family too."
Sunny Skies & Honey are a beautiful bonded pair of Golden gals who are both former breeding dogs. These ladies were surrendered in somewhat poor conditions and had spent a great deal of time living in kennels. Sunny Skies & Honey are sweet girls who are learning the ropes and adjusting to a new life filled with cuddles, consistency, and toys!
Sunny Skies is 8 years old and is the more outgoing of the pair, she loves treats and has shown interest in toys (she will hold a stuffed toy in her mouth but isn’t sure what to do from there - yet). She is described as being on the mellow side and is quite an attention seeker (she wants all of the human’s attention). Sunny is somewhat low energy so far, but her foster family has noted they see the potential for playfulness. Currently, Sunny needs some time to decompress and acclimate to so many new day-to-day happenings. Something Sunny is confident in at this time is her love for her companion, Honey!
Honey is 7 years old and is a bit more reserved, she can be shy and a bit cautious initially, but she warms up with a little time and gentle patience. Honey enjoys the company of humans and seems to bond strongly with people in her home quite quickly. This sweet girl craves attention and love, but is shy about getting it from you. Honey shows interest in having a toy and will slyly grab one as she passes through a room. She feels most confident right beside her human companion and one way she shows affection is she will lean on her human’s legs. Honey is shy and unsure of all of the changes that have come with her new world, but she is definitely a love bug!
Ideal Home: The most important need for Sunny Skies and Honey is a family who can provide a home for both of them together. Both dogs are fairly low energy and would do well in a quieter home where they are possibly the only dogs who can be fawned over and spoiled.
