Lizzie

GRR’s rescue of Lizzie was absolutely lifesaving! Lizzie was a senior dog, totally deaf, who was apparently dumped in a small town cemetery. No one in the town recognized her but one person knew to call GRR.  A GRR volunteer picked Lizzie up and she was on her way to a much better life.   Lizzie was adopted and thrived on all the TLC she had missed for so long and she loved her two new sibling retrievers.

Recently, at about age 11, Liz developed difficulty breathing. Our vet palpated a mass pressing on both sides of her trachea, probable lymphoma, and we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl a few weeks later. Now she can breathe freely, hear well, see clearly, and remember good times with her family, both canine and human.
