Personality: Luke is in the running for “best young boy” pup this year, and while he just arrived at GRR, he is gaining a lot of votes.
His loving friendliness has impressed everyone that has come in contact with him, including the staff at AAC, GRR volunteers, other canines and even cats. He lives to retrieve (who would have thought?), and after his recent time out on the streets, he shows sincere appreciation for the TLC he is getting now.
On the ride to his foster’s house, he rode in the car well and only pulled on his leash a moderate amount even with the excitement of his new beginnings.
His veterinary visit results were outstanding, with overall excellent teeth, eyes, ears and skin - a testament to his natural resilience. As part of his GRR care, he will be neutered and treated for a parasite in the coming weeks. During his time at the vet, the staff characterized him as playful, sweet and nice, even under the stress of his medical exams which he passed with flying colors.
Ideal home: As his GRR transport volunteer said, “Great beautiful young male,” who will be an amazing companion for a relative active family including one with other pets in the house. With normal training, he has all the “right stuff” to be an outstanding Golden and a wonderful member of the family. More details will emerge as he comes to know his GRR foster parents.
