Rocko is a typical young golden starting to gain his big boy confidence and comfort in his new surroundinngs. Additionally, Rocko is working on potty training, and is making good progress. He is a handsome, auburn Golden pup who is learning the ropes while adapting to a new and pampered life. In his previous home, Rocko spent an ample amount of time crated, so he is not a huge fan. Currently, he is working on realizing the crate is not always bad, while also establishing boundaries within his foster home and working to gain tartled by new sounds, objects, or sometimes people (at first). Rocko is very social once he is comfortable and LOVES his people and other dogs! At times, when he is excited, he jumps some, but is very attentive to commands such as “sit” and/or “off”. As he is still a puppy by Golden standards, Rocko is learning to play appropriately with the other dog in his foster home (he might be a little overly exuberant at times) and loves romping around, playing keep away with toys, and responds well when he is “corrected” by the other dog for being a little too much. Rocko is very interested in the resident cat in his foster home, but in a curious way more than anything. Another puppy quality of Rocko is that he does chew things if the opportunity presents itself- shoes, toys, etc. and he will take toys from other dogs. Ultimately, Rocko is one SMART cookie, he enjoys learning new commands, showing off his toys, he aims to please, and loves to cuddle and give all the kisses he can!
Ideal Home: For Rocko, a home with another dog would be ideal, as it is currently helping him to grow his confidence and learn through companionship. A family who can appreciate his high energy, have patience with his puppy behaviors, and help him to feel safe and secure is essential. Rocko would do well in a home with a daily routine and consistency. He is such a striking dog with a great deal of love to share. Could Rocko be the perfect pup to join your family?
