Scout is in board and train and doing wonderfully. He is your typical, young, energetic Golden. Scout is a very exuberant, healthy, young golden that doesn’t know a stranger --- Scout loves everyone and everyone loves Scout!!    He is dog social with large and small dogs, quiet and clean in his kennel and always has a toy to carry around.  Thus far we have not seen any issues with other dogs over bones or toys.  Scout's impulse control is appropriate for a young Golden and he responds really well to redirection.

Because he is only 12 months, Scout is a happy bundle of energy.   He gets excited and jumps and pulls hard on-leash; but all can be addressed with basic training. At Board-and-train, the trainer is focusing on improving his leash skills and curbing the jumping.

Ideal Home:  Because of his young-dog energy requirements, Scout will do best in an active household with no children or children age 12+. He will do great with another really nice dog to play with. He has not had any exposure to cats.  He needs a family who will continue obedience and leash training and take him on long daily walks, hikes, trips to the lake, etc.  Scout is a social boy, so he'll enjoy accompanying you to Home Depot, the local coffee shop, and other adventures.   With daily attention, exercise and continued obedience training, Scout will be your best friend.
