Extraordinary Golden Fund recipient?:

Positive for heartworms?: TBD

GRR number: 16-019

Type of Surrender: stray from Palm Valley Animal Center

Status: Available

Age: 4 months

Weight: 10 lbs.

Personality: Sandy is a very cute Golden puppy with a possible mixture of Labrador retriever in her blood lines. She is the sister of Sloan (16-020) and now they are fostered together after their initial veterinarian exams. Despite some rough conditions in her early life, Sandy is very alert and attentive to the activities around her.  And right now, the activities are just what she needed! Sandy is receiving treatment from her fosters for sarcoptic mange.  She is getting medication, medicated baths and lots of TLC so the mange will resolve itself soon.  In the meantime, she is sporting a fancy t-shirt for helping to squelch the urge to scratch. Because she is so young, her heartworm test and spaying will come later, but she is settling in to her new life just fine.

Things have taken a decided turn for the better already. Napping with your brother, romping in the back yard and sharing a good meal makes the time fly by.  Reflecting the loving care, she has been increasingly energetic and playful, showing her GRR fosters lots of affection in true Golden fashion.

Lucky Sandy is headed for one very lucky forever family!

Ideal home: As Sandy continues to thrive in her foster’s home, she will display her unique personality, which will provide more insight into her ideal home. As with any puppy, her new family should be prepared for some high energy from this gal, and be ready to provide training and attentive interaction on a daily basis.
