Kix is a GRR Permanent Foster due to his age and associated age-related issues, chronic ear issues and low energy levels --- Kix spends a good portion of his day sleeping.  He is happy and has adjusted to his foster family which is now his forever home.  To learn how you can sponsor Kix, please click here to be directed to the Golden Angel Sponsorship webpage.

Poor Kix was found alone and down in a backyard after his owners moved and left him behind. Needless to say, this senior boy was not in very good shape and it appears he hadn’t had decent care since the day he was born. He was very underweight, with skin issues, eye infections and a lump on his side. He is heartworm positive and arthritic.

Personality: Despite this sad story, Kix is now in the hands of a caring GRR foster family. He’s housebroken and free to roam the home. He’s a great leash walker, although he is pretty low-energy considering his age.

Kix is a bit nervous in the car. He’s had no exposure to cats at this point. If other dogs are around, he doesn’t really interact with them, but he also doesn’t avoid them.

Kix retrieves a ball a bit, but isn’t interest in bringing it back to you. He’ll walk around the house carrying the ball likes it’s a special prize just for him.

He spends a lot of time sleeping, but he’s got a lot going on and needs his rest to recover. He sleeps very soundly. He does like to be brushed, likely because he loves the attention – something that may have been missing from his life to this point.

While Kix is low energy like a typical old dog, he IS coming out of his shell in his foster home and loves to be petted and treated to doggy goodies.
