Burton’s pre-GRR life was rough.  In fact, he has a sweet little sugar face that would make you think he’s a little older than 7.  His owners surrendered him to Palm Valley Animal Center.  He was on the euthanasia list until GRR swooped in to save his life.  While he has several health issues, they are treatable, and he is ready for things to turn around.

Personality: At his foster home, Burton’s behavior makes it hard to believe that anyone could give him up.  He is house-trained and freely roams the first floor of his home.  He does well with other dogs and takes treats gently.  Burton enjoys long walks and playing and wants to be a part of every family activity from checking the mail to cooking dinner.  He is even smart enough to open doors with handles!

Ideal Home: Burton’s forever family should be ready for lots of love!  He is the sweetest golden there is and seems very happy with his new life!  He is good with other dogs and seems curious about cats, though he has not been observed with cats or children yet.  His new family should be prepared to take him through his heartworm treatment (expenses covered by GRR).  If you’re ready to show Burton the good life and be rewarded with the love of a good, loyal dog, then you just found your next family member!
