I'm ready for my new family!

Willie

I'm Available

Meet GRR’s Willie, who enjoys spending time outdoors just as much as he loves laying inside napping!  Willie likes going on walks and has fairly good manners; he is both calm and observant.  At first, Willie needs encouragement with day to day things that are new to him, but with time he is coming out of his shell more and more. He has a silly side and will pounce on a ball, and he also likes treats, especially popcorn, which he is skilled at catching if you toss it into the air for him. Willie will countersurf or put his whole head into the dogfood bin for a snack if the opportunity arises (this boy loves to eat), but he responds well to redirection and praise.  Willie loves to be brushed, and loves pets and cuddles! Currently, Willie is still getting used to the resident foster dogs, he will hang out with them when humans aren’t around, but when playing he’s a little possessive of his toys at times.  He is described as curious, happy, a little bit shy, and very much a cuddle bug once he feels comfortable!

Ideal Home: For Willie, an ideal home would be one with a family who can include him in their daily activities and happenings.  As Willie still needs some reassurance at first, he will need a family who can be patient with him as he learns and grows. He is smart and adaptable and will be a great family dog!  Willie is fine with other dogs, but could also do well as an only dog. Could Willie be the perfect boy to complete your family?
