Meet GRR’s Shiloh & Riley, a beautiful pair of Golden gals who are adjusting to their new surroundings in their foster home. Shiloh is the bolder, more outgoing of the pair, while Riley is a bit more reserved. Both dogs are very sweet, Riley will give you her paw if she is requesting attention and even will cry/whine to verbally communicate. Shiloh can be somewhat of a Velcro dog, wanting to be close to her people as much as possible. The resident dog in their foster home is a male dog; Shiloh is playful and interested in him while Riley is not sure about him and prefers the company of her sister…she also gets a bit jealous if Shiloh plays with the resident dog. Both dogs are vocal, when they hear something new or unfamiliar there can be a chorus of barks, although Shiloh leads and Riley tends to follow her lead. Riley is very independent and more timid, but she does have moments of affection when she loves to cuddle! Shiloh is more confident, playful, and excitable. She loves to groom (and kiss) Riley. Both of them are described as friendly, a bit shy (Riley more than Shiloh), mellow, and happy.
Ideal Home: For Shiloh and Riley, an ideal home would be one where they can both be welcomed as they are a bonded pair. As they are middle to senior aged Goldens, a home where they can enjoy daily walks, time outside, and an overall calm or peaceful environment would be nice for them. Having a family where someone is home often would make them both very happy as well. As the two of them are bonded together, they might do best as the only two dogs in their home, although they would be okay in a home with another dog that is on the calm side. They are experiencing so many new things, so a family where their people understand they may need time to learn and adjust would be helpful.
