I've found my furever family!

Rain

We're happy to tell you that Rain has a new furever home.

Rain lived mostly outdoors before coming to GRR so she had spent limited time inside and wasn’t well socialized.  She is slowly settling into her foster home and starting to realize that her new life is pretty good.

Understandably, Rain loves her inside life and doesn’t want to spend much time outside anymore.  She’s housebroken and enjoys stuffies. One evening, her foster mom left the closet door open overnight and by morning, Rain had carefully strewn dirty laundry across the bedroom floor. Nothing was damaged and Rain was quite proud of herself.

The foster mom describes Rain as chill, shy, a little anxious, super sweet and affectionate.  She is smart, looks to her people for approval and is happy when she’s told “you are such a good girl.  This pretty girl is a little timid so will put herself in the corner behind a chair and peek out to make sure everything is OK before venturing out. It’s really very cute to watch her.  Good news is that she’s venturing out and exploring life more and more.

This brave little girl especially loves cuddling in bed with her foster mom and snuggling on the couch as she watches her humans.  Rain has only been in foster care for a few days but she’s made so much progress and her sweet personality is starting to shine through.

Ideal Home:  Rain needs a confident dog in the home and patient people who will let her come into her own at her own pace.  Rain has made so much progress in a very short amount of time but pushing her to do things too fast would be a huge mistake.  Rain loves people and wants to please so giving her the opportunity to try new things at her speed is best.  Right now, Rain is fairly low energy but do not yet know her real personality.  With time, suspect her confidence and energy level will blossom.
