GRR’s Phoenix will bring a smile to your face with his sunshiney personality and loving heart. Phoenix loves to hang out on the couch and in his feisty moments, he will jump on and off the couch, and sometimes right into your lap! He enjoys playing with a ball and will retrieve, bring it back, and will sometimes drop the ball to be thrown again. Currently, Phoenix is adjusting to daily routines and learning the dos and don'ts along the way. He carries around a stuffy, will cuddle with it on the couch, and his foster family also uses it to redirect him when needed. As with many young Goldens, Phoenix can be mouthy at times, but he is learning commands and is eager to please, so he’s on the right track. Phoenix is also rather overzealous with other dogs. The resident dog in his foster home is willing to play, but Phoenix sometimes needs a human to help redirect him when playtime is over, so that is a work in progress. He loves to be around people and is a big fan of sniffing all the smells when he is on a walk. Overall, this active, playful boy is one big floppy, clumsy ball of love!
Ideal Home: For Phoenix, a home where his family can provide him with plenty of daily exercise and activity is imperative. His family needs to understand Golden puppy behaviors and know that he is learning, growing, is eager to please, and has a heart of gold. Phoenix is a bit of a Velcro dog, so having someone around the house during the day would be ideal for him. Since he is so energetic, having another dog who would play and interact, while also patiently providing boundaries would be great for Phoenix. Could Phoenix be the perfect pup to complete your family?
