Meet GRR’s active and playful Otto! This beautiful boy has a fun-loving personality, and is all in with anyone who will give him pets and attention. As with most young Goldens, Otto loves to run and chase things outside in the yard. He will chase a frisbee, a ball, a toy, or at times he will toss toys into the air, although he is still working on retrieving (he prefers a game of keep-away instead)! Otto is thriving with a daily routine - he is treat-motivated and is quickly learning commands such as: sit, wait, and settle (as he is all puppy and gets overzealous at times). Currently, Otto is working on his leash manners, but he loves going for a walk!
New things to Otto (vacuum cleaner, leaf blower, bikes, etc.) make him a little unsure at first, but through exposure and confidence building, he is already showing growth. Otto loves to sniff all the smells and hear all the sounds when he is outside; he has a truly friendly nature. As much as he loves being active, Otto also enjoys snuggling in and watching TV with his people. With the resident dog in his foster home, he is friendly, but does play rough and sometimes needs to calm down a bit.
Ideal Home: For Otto, a family who can provide plenty of daily exercise and/or enrichment is a must. This sweet, love-bug is eager to please and very smart, but he does need a family who can provide him with a routine and with opportunities to practice his manners as he is still learning. Otto enjoys the company of another dog, but could also be an only dog. Overall, Otto just loves being part of the family. Could your family be the ones who are the perfect match for Otto?
