GRR’s Olive, is still in her puppy era! Olive is very sweet, fairly vocal, and loves to cuddle or play. She is a bit insecure in new places and with new situations so at times she will bark or show signs of fear. With time, patience, and practice/exposure to new things, she is already becoming more comfortable each day. Olive likes to play fetch and she really likes playing with kids! As mentioned, Olive does have some areas where she is still learning, such as being fully house-trained, being comfortable in a crate (she is not a fan at this time), and being accustomed to day-to-day environmental occurrences (for example, she gets startled when someone walks through the door at times). However, Olive has so much potential - with routines, practice, and consistency, she is already improving as she gains confidence and trust in her human companions. She is a huge fan of special treats such as yogurt or pumpkin, and her favorite treat is a bit of cheese (smart girl)! Olive is great with male dogs and hasn't been tested with female dogs.
Ideal Home: For Olive, an ideal home would be one with a family who has time to work daily to help Olive learn and grow. Her foster is working on housebreaking but she's not 100% yet so needs consistent training. She really enjoys having another confident dog companion that will help her to “learn the ropes” and gain confidence; she definitely loves the company! A family that can include Olive in their day to day activities would be wonderful, as she needs plenty of playtime and exercise to expend her puppy energy! Olive is described as affectionate and happy, but sometimes a bit shy and fearful. She's learning to overcome both. When left, Olive needs to be with another dog. Could your family be the one to love and spoil Olive?
