Peppermint Schnapps is a beautiful young Golden Retriever with a heart as soft as her beautiful fur. She is an extremely sweet, gentle soul who has adjusted well to her foster home and is ready to find a family of her own. Peppermint is friendly, affectionate, and very well-mannered indoors. She’s calm in the house, enjoys napping on a dog bed, and prefers to stay close to her people. She greets humans by proudly bringing a toy to show off and share. Peppermint does have playful bursts of energy and loves to wrestle and romp with the dog in her foster home, run around the yard, play tug-of-war, and retrieve a ball. She plays well with other dogs and is tolerant of higher-energy canine companions. Outside, she enjoys “patrolling” the yard, keeping an eye out for squirrels.
Peppermint knows how to “sit” and responds very well to redirection when she gets overly excited. She is curious and eager to engage. She walks fairly well on a leash and enjoys sniffing all the smells. Peppermint loves chew toys, particularly Nyla-bones. She also likes to play keep-away with toys, which adds to her playful charm. This pretty pup is a wonderful balance of playful and mellow—active when it’s time to play, calm and cuddly when it’s time to relax. Ideal Home: Peppermint would thrive in a loving home that can provide daily walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship, along with gentle guidance and lots of love. She would make a wonderful family dog and is gentle enough to do well with age-appropriate children (no younger than 8)who want to play and engage with her.
