Magic is an EGF Golden because he was a young, extremely active boy who had very little impulse control Magic came from a shelter in the Rio Grande Valley so we have no idea if he ever had a family or any structure in his life. Magic needed to learn appropriate interactions and play with other dogs, appropriate ways to channel his energy and good house manners which were lacking. Magic is currently at Board and Train and we’ll keep you updated on his progress.
Magic's Story: Meet GRR’s Magic - this handsome boy is extremely friendly, loves people, and adores attention! Magic is a typical young Golden, he is very silly and sometimes gets carried away when playing inside (swiping a decorative pillow here and there). He loves to cuddle and will jump right into bed or on the couch with you! Magic is eager to please and is working on learning basic commands and “good boy” manners in his foster home. He is a little unsure of new things at first, but catches on quickly and is becoming more confident as he learns. Magic is friendly with other dogs, and will play tug of war, but isn’t quite sure about wrestling or romping around yet. He is described as friendly, playful, affectionate and active.
Ideal Home: For Magic, having a family where someone is home often is ideal as he is very much a “Velcro” dog. A family that is loving and patient with him as he learns and grows is a must, as he will need practice with things such as walking on a leash, and perfecting his indoor manners (as mentioned, he can be rather rambunctious at times). Having another dog in the home would be fine for Magic, but not required, so long as he has a human companion closeby as he is incredibly social and might struggle being left alone all day long.
