Lucy has been spending a few weeks at Board-and-Train and making great progress with basic good doggie skills. She's a happy, high-energy girl who loves to run and explore the world. She's curious and wants to see everything out there so you must be careful around open doors and gates. Lucy is doing well with recall even though she loves to run --- she's learning that coming back when called means lots of praise and treats which she adores. She is also doing well with crate training and loves eating dinner and napping in her safe space. Lucy does great with all dogs and adults she has interacted with so far. She has not met a stranger. She especially loves her four-legged friends. Lucy is very energetic and easily excitable; however, she's learning proper impulse control (not jumping) when meeting people.
Ideal home: Lucy needs a family ready for a higher energy pup! A family with another young/playful dog would be supper. Lucy is a lot of fun and very, very friendly. She has great intentions and loves/trust all people. Lucy has much love to give. Lucy needs a family that will continue reinforcing her training. She is a very, very sweet girl and will be very loyal to her new family. If you want an active dog that enjoys walks, hikes, runs and visiting friends, I Love Lucy may be the right dog for you.
