Meet GRR’s Luigi who enjoys lounging on the couch or playing with his stuffies and toys. Luigi is learning to retrieve; he loves to chase the ball and bring it back, but “drop it” is still a work in progress! In his foster home, he is working on some basic commands, and he loves to spend time looking out the windows observing the world around him. Luigi would love to meet any and every person he encounters, he is happy and calm around younger children, and while he hasn’t been around other dogs in his foster home, he seems quite interested when he sees them in passing. Like most Goldens, Luigi loves to sniff when he is outside and he would be thrilled to chase squirrels around, if permitted. He is a total love bug; he is both smart and communicative - when he is ready to go on a walk, he will bring his leash and harness right over to you!
Ideal Home: For Luigi, a home where he has opportunities for daily activity would be wonderful. At this time, Luigi is preparing to undergo heartworm treatment at GRR’s expense, so he will need a family who can provide him with daily care during the process. Having a family where he has daily routines and people who are around often would be good for Luigi as he sometimes will chew on things that are left out (but he is making progress with this) and he will pursue or chase after something (even if it means running right out the door) if he is curious or interested. Having a yard or space where he can look out or spend time outside is also something he would love. Could your family be the perfect match for loving, energetic Luigi?
