Nova is 1.5 years old, petite for a Golden Retriever, and the definition of sweetness wrapped in golden fur. She’s a little shadow, happily following her people from room to room, always ready to curl up nearby—whether you’re reading in the TV room or just moving about the house. Wherever you are, that’s where she wants to be.
She’s gentle with children, curious about new friends, and takes treats as delicately as if they were fine china. Toys? She’ll happily chase a ball, but don’t expect Olympic fetch skills—sometimes she gets distracted mid-game and wanders off in her own little adventure, tail wagging all the while.
Nova isn’t bossy with other dogs, doesn’t guard her toys, and isn’t one to bark just to hear her own voice. She’s polite on the leash, calm in the house, and full of those little quirks that make you smile—like gently placing her paws on your lap for the sweetest hug.
Like many Goldens, she startles at new or unusual noises, but she quickly looks to her people for reassurance. What she needs most is someone to show her that the world is safe, and that love is hers to keep.
Nova is also heartworm positive, which means she needs a family with a heart big enough to walk with her through treatment. The road ahead will take patience and care, but she’ll give you something far greater in return: unconditional love, gentle companionship, and a thousand quiet moments that remind you what it means to truly be loved by a dog.
Nova may be small, but her heart is mighty—and she’s ready to share it with her forever family.
