Meet GRR’s Liza, a younger Golden who is learning all the “doggy” life perks after living outdoors as a breeding dog. Currently, while adjusting to her new environment, Liza is slowly acclimating while having new experiences each day and she is becoming more comfortable as each day passes. While she isn’t quite sure what to do with a toy (yet), Liza has started to have small bursts of “zoomies” and will observe the resident dog playing fetch with interest. Liza can be shy when meeting new people, she has good manners, and she is extremely sweet. For Liza, taking things slow and giving her time for adjustment is key. Each day there are bright spots where her personality is shining through more and more! Liza is very gentle and has enjoyed friendly greetings with other dogs and very much likes the company of the resident dog in her foster home. She is a huge fan of laying in her nook while getting pets (she even smiles up at you) and spending time outside in the yard.
Liza is house-trained and has virtually zero naughty habits. She has gained confidence indoors and follows her foster family around the living room and inviting people to pet her. Liza is slowly learning to walk with the leash. Liza is overall a very good girl who is gaining confidence every day!
Ideal Home: For Liza, currently, an ideal home would be one that is on the quiet(ish) side where she can embark on each day taking things at her pace. Most environmental things are new to Liza, so with time, she will change and grow, but for now, she needs a family who can meet her where she is and lovingly guide her as she gains confidence and builds trust. Liza should have another (age appropriate) dog in her home who is confident and can patiently show her the ropes. She also needs a home where someone is home part of the day. Liza needs someone who is patient and loving with her and in return, she'll give your lots of love and devotion. Could your family be the perfect match for darling Liza?
