Lily has shown her sweet and gentle soul in the short time she's been in foster care. She looks forward to mealtime, enjoys spending time outdoors and loves a good stroll or simply relaxing in the shade of the backyard. When Lily gets excited, she does the cutest happy dance—her front feet do a little tap-tap and she closes her eyes with the sweetest smile. She’s quiet and incredibly easygoing. While Lily was initially shy and kept to herself, she’s blossomed into a curious, loving companion who now wants to be part of everything her foster family does.
Lily adores rolling in the grass, splashing in the pool on warm days, and running around the backyard with her foster brother. Every morning, she wakes up excited for the new day as she does that happy dance. Her foster family loves how she greets them each morning and every time they return from being out. She’s so smart and her confidence and personality shine brighter every day. Loud noises and storms still make her nervous, but she’s improving with each new experience. Watching Lily learn how to be a regular, happy dog has been pure joy.
Ideal home: For Lily a family who will be patient and allow her to continue to adjust at her own pace is essential. She will need time to continue to build her confidence as Lily continues to settle into life as a wonderful companion. At least one other confident and engaging dog is a must.
