Meet GRR’s Merci! Sweet Merci was initially found as a stray and is the poster pup for being a “rescue”! Merci was taken in by a gracious samaritan who could not keep her as her own pet, but did her best to find this pretty pup a second chance. As Merci is still a puppy, she is quite active, loves to play and enjoys a lap around the yard; however, she is also happy to cuddle and nap on the couch. Merci loves attention and has already learned several commands in her foster home. She is both eager to learn and eager to please. This girl definitely has plenty of personality- she loves to toss her toys up into the air and catch them herself. She’ll also pounce on toys, chew on them and even unstuff them if the opportunity presents itself! Most of all, Merci loves spending time with her humans. Her foster mom describes Merci as playful but not obnoxious and enjoys playing with other dogs and children. She thrives on human companionship so it's best if someone is home part of the day.
Ideal Home: For Merci, a home with a yard would be ideal as she LOVES being outside and having a place to enjoy a good “sniffari” while also investigating the birds and squirrels in the vicinity. Sometimes, she can be a bit boisterous (she's still a puppy) but she is definitely working on it and making good progress as she so wants to please. A family who can spend time providing play and exercise daily is a must for Merci. She loves to romp and have fun with other dogs so a home with another dog would be great for Merci. Ultimately, Mercy loves people, she is extremely friendly, and will make a wonderful companion to her human(s) after a somewhat rocky start in life.
