Update Sept 24: Elway continues to be shy and timid but he is making progress and gaining confidence. His foster dad describes Elway as sweet, cuddly, playful and loving. Elway is a young puppy so he has puppy zoomie moments but he’s fairly calm in the house and enjoys cuddling on the couch watching TV. Elway is becoming more comfortable in his foster home every day, learning to trust humans, looks to his foster sibling for guidance and generally ignores the cat. He’s 95% housebroken IF you watch him carefully and learning to walk on a leash. Elway is a wonderful, young boy.
GRR’s Elway is a sweet puppy who is working to gain confidence and trust in humans. The little guy has not been exposed to much; therefore, he is timid and reserved at this time. He needs some time to warm up to the human(s) in his home. One thing that Elway is extremely comforted by is his foster sibling. He LOVES to be close to her at all times!
Ideal Home: For Elway, a home where his people are very patient with him, have a daily routine, and can work to help him feel safe and secure is necessary. At this time, it seems that Elway would truly benefit from having a kind dog companion in his home that would comfort him, while also showing him all the ins and outs so that he can live his best life!
