Elway

Update 11/11:  Elway is a wonderful, sweet little guy who will love you unconditionally once you gain his trust.  He loves to play and be silly --- his foster dad suspects Elway knows he’s being silly as he’ll look at you to get your laughter.  This boy is full of personality that comes out more-and-more every day.  Elway loves to play with other dogs so he needs another dog in the home.  He has a pleasant personality and just wants to please everyone.

Elway is gaining confidence and now runs around the backyard like he owns it!  You can just see his confidence budding through.  Elway copies WHATEVER his foster sibling, Chewie, does:  if Chewie shakes, Elway shakes.  If Chewie stands up, Elway stands up.  If Chewy barks at the delivery man, Elway barks at the deliveryman.  If Chewie gets in his bed, Elway gets in his bed.  It truly is fun to watch.

Elway is such a sweet, sensitive guy who needs a nice, calm home with another nice dog who can mentor him.  Once Elway trusts you, he is incredibly sweet and cuddly and will give you kisses.  Elway is truly blossoming.  He’s housebroken and crate trained however should not be crated for long periods of time. He does best when he has his canine buddy to hang out with. He is always happy and wants to please.

Ideal Home: For Elway, a home where his people are home much of the day, will be very patient with him, have a daily routine, and can work to help him feel safe and secure is necessary. He needs another younger, confident dog in the home to play with and comfort him, while also showing him all the ins and outs so that he can live his best life! Could your family be the perfect fit for Elway?
