Doc has only been with his foster for a couple of weeks, but his sweet and loving personality is already shining through. If you’re looking for that perfect family dog, Doc is ready to find his forever home!
He is 14 months old and still learning and working on training, but his life goal is to please you, so he is eager and excited to learn. Doc is house-trained, loves long walks on his leash, and gets excited when he sees people and children! He is still working on not jumping on people, but getting better every day.
Doc is a good eater and takes treats gently most of the time. He will fetch and bring it back, but would rather play tug of war than drop it. He doesn’t jump on the furniture, but will gently put his paw next to you when you are sitting on the couch – just to let you know he is nearby and loving you. He gets the zoomies now and then and excitedly digs on his bed, but he is also just as happy to sit with you and quietly watch TV.
He gets along great with the resident dogs and enjoys playing with them, while still giving them space. He adapted quickly to the family’s routine.
Doc would thrive in a family with an older dog to help teach him the ropes. He loves activities, playtime, and walking with the family. He would benefit from some training, as he is still a youngster, but with love and patience, Doc will be everything you ever dreamed of in a Golden.
