Meet GRR’s Chester, a handsome young pup who has plenty of personality! Chester LOVES all people as well as the other dogs in his foster home. He is respectful of other dogs’ boundaries, when needed, and loves to romp, run, and play! When he tires out, he enjoys napping at your feet. Chester will keep you on your toes, as he enjoys “relocating” socks (but he doesn’t chew them), he carries around his own leash (he is still learning about going on a walk), and he will climb right into your lap, if allowed. He’ll ensure you have plenty of laughs too - he sleeps on his back with his paws in the air, will bark to get your attention or to “talk” (sometimes), will “fall” off the couch clumsily, and loves to explore the shower (after it has been used by a human). Chester does have moments of overexuberance and is working on respecting personal space boundaries rather than jumping up when he’s excited (he is already improving after only a few days in his foster home); he also has an affinity for used napkins, dryer sheets, etc. so is working to learn that those types of items aren’t for him. He is described as smart, outgoing, loyal, curious, affectionate, full of energy, and lots of fun!
Ideal Home: As mentioned, an ideal home for Chester would be one where he will have ample opportunities for exercise and play each day. A family with an active lifestyle would be great for Chester as he is always up for playing or an adventure. He will need a family who has time to work with him to learn new things and perfect his manners - he really is a good boy, but will benefit from routines and reiteration of the “rules” as he learns and grows. Chester would be delighted to have another dog in his home (but one who can tolerate his lively energy day to day). Could Chester be the perfect pup to complete your family?
