Meet GRR’s Brinkley, a young Golden who is recovering from several medical procedures that needed attention when she arrived at GRR. With that, Brinkley is learning to enjoy some simple comforts - a plush dog bed to relax on and being close to people (she likes to physically touch her human companion(s) whenever possible). As she is currently wearing a cone, she has some assisted playtime with toys and loves sniffing around in the yard (although she definitely seems like she will be thrilled to run and play when the time comes). Brinkley is learning her name, enjoys watching birds outside, and adorably wags her tail when receiving kisses and offers kisses in return. She is described as curious, sweet, loving, goofy, active, and patient.
Ideal Home: For Brinkley, a family who can incorporate her into their daily lives would be ideal. She wants to be close to people all the time, so having a family where someone is home often would make her one happy girl. It is important to know that Brinkley is currently heartworm positive, and will need a home where her family can take her through heartworm treatment at GRR’s expense.
