Meet GRR’s Boomer, a sweet boy who is learning what indoor life is all about. He has bursts of energy with zoomies, where he runs around and plays, both by himself and with the two resident dogs, followed by long and peaceful naps.
He has the typical impulse control for a puppy, which is something to be worked on. He can be crafty and will steal food if you step away from your dinner, so he has to be watched closely.
He loves to be on the sofa, watching TV or snuggling. He will fluff up a spot and lie down next to you - he has good furniture manners. His indoor manners are coming along.
He is doing well with crate training and sleeps through the night in his crate. He will go into his crate without complaint when asked.
Boomer is getting along with the resident dogs. In the backyard, if he is not playing with one dog, he is following the other around, trying to engage in activity. However, he also knows how to relax and will simply lie down to enjoy the cool grass.
Ideal home: A home that is willing to work with him on basic house skills, like finishing his potty training, keeping him entertained, and redirecting him away from general puppy mischief. He would love a home where someone is home most of the time, and a home with another dog that he can play with and learn from.
