Meet GRR’s Bella, a former breeding dog who is gaining confidence and experience each day! In her former home, Bella spent a majority of her time in a small enclosure by herself; as a result, most day to day things are very new to Bella! She has made significant progress in a short amount of time, whether it be learning to go on daily walks, rolling on her back in the grass, playing with a toy or enjoying the sunshine,
Bella is beginning to thrive through her new experiences. Bella loves to sniff all the smells on walks or outside; while indoors, she is calm, relaxed, and enjoys napping. Adapting to new experiences is something Bella is working on. She can be timid at first, but with encouragement from her trusted human(s) and time to become more comfortable, she is really flourishing. For Bella, as she adjusts, every experience is mental enrichment, and this sweet girl is eager to please.
Other dogs do not bother Bella, she does follow the lead of the resident dog in her foster home at times, yet she does not engage with the resident cat. Bella’s eyes are soulful, but she does have a silly side that is starting to shine through - she makes a growl/snort sound when you’re petting her that sounds like a bear! She is described as gentle, shy, well-mannered, and adaptable. Each day her foster family is seeing more and more tail wags.
Ideal Home: For Bella, a home where she has a daily routine along with people who can be patient and calm is a must. She really likes her people and seems to bond more to females, but is okay with males as well. A home with empty-nesters or a couple would be ideal for Bella, although she has met some kids while in her foster home and seemed to enjoy their company. Having another dog in her home who is patient and somewhat calm is a MUST as Bella needs a leader to follow and learn from. Bella is coming out of her shell more and more each day. Could your family be the perfect match to love on and spoil Bella?
