Kelce is an Extraordinary Golden because she had a severe limp from a right femur fracture that was badly displaced as it had likely happened some time ago. The fracture required orthopedic surgery to insert a rod and pin. In addition to her orthopedic issues, Kelce was underweight, had heartworms and hookworms, and a small mass on her nose and another on her eyelid --- all have been treated and the small mass is benign. Today, Kelce is recovering from orthopedic surgery and slowly rehabbing her leg. She's still on exercise restrictions but she's moving around and starting to put weight on her leg. She’ll start Heartworm treatment on November 19.
Kelce's Story: Meet GRR’s beautiful Kelce! This lovely lady is extremely sweet and a little bit on the shy side. Kelce is getting used to a daily routine and prefers to be near her people. She is fairly mellow and is adjusting to her new environment in her foster home. Kelce loves her stuffed koala bear and carries it all around, enjoys a belly rub, and is always up for a cuddle! She's also getting to know and enjoy Freddy, the resident kitty. Kelce is a happy girl and progressing nicely. She loves her foster family very much.
