Canela is sweet, social and silly! she has a heart as soft as her fur and a playful spirit that is blossoming more each day. After arriving into our care with zero training, she’s made incredible strides in her board and train program. Canela’s now rocking her basic obedience, excelling in potty training, and improving fast on leash—though yes, exciting sights and smells still send a thrill through her golden soul.
She’s working through a second round of ear meds (and respectfully, she’s so over it), but she's being a trooper with the help of high-value treats and extra love. Her next vet visit is coming up, and we're hopeful those ears are on the mend! Canela loves playing with new dogs and is especially sweet and social once she warms up. She can be a little timid at first, and she still gets jumpy when overstimulated, but she’s learning how to settle and find her calm. She’s not just a good girl — she’s a great one. With continued support, Canela is well on her way to becoming a confident, loyal companion
Her ideal home is one who has the time and commitment to dedicate to continue all of the training she is learning. She would love a canine companion to play with. She would do well with teens (or older children) in the home. Canela would thrive with a family who wants to fully integrate her into their lives and show her the world.
