Meet GRR’s sweet and cuddly Socks! This handsome young pup with precious white paws is working to learn both confidence in himself and independence in his home/environment.  Socks has a heart of gold and loves to play with the resident dog in his foster home (as well as the humans)!  Currently, Socks is a bit of a “velcro dog”, he wants to have companionship at all times.  As a result, he does have some skittish moments if left alone (even for short periods of time), when he hears new sounds (barking ensues), or if he encounters something unknown (new to him) like a paper grocery bag.  Currently, his foster family is already seeing progress and growth with consistency and routine.  Socks is a curious and intelligent boy, he will sit when waiting for something he wants, he alerts you when he needs to go outside with a quick paw, and he will go to his crate (which he doesn’t really love yet) when it’s time for his lick mat! This boy loves to eat! Socks is aptly named as he uses his paws when requesting attention, which often turns into a lap-full of puppy!  He is pretty high energy, needs some practice with walking on a leash, and can be rowdy and a bit clumsy at times.

Ideal Home:  For Socks, a home with someone who can be around often (or works from home) would be great, especially initially, as he is thriving with having someone around to work through his skittish moments.  Since he is young and high energy, a family who has time to play, go on walks, and include him in their day-to-day lives would be great.  A home with another dog who loves to play and can provide calm, secure companionship would be perfect for Socks. Finally, it is essential that Socks has a family that can provide him unlimited love and cuddles, as he can never seem to get his fill!  Could your family be the perfect fit for Socks?
