Kelce (24-095) came to GRR from Laredo with her two puppies, Elway (24-096) and Brees (24-097). Upon her arrival at GRR, it was evident that Kelce was in need of medical care and some TLC. With time and dedication from GRR, Kelce overcame significant health challenges and her adoptive family said they fell in love with her immediately! She started out shy and a bit scared, but also so sweet and curious. Kelce was so tolerant of all of the treatments and restrictions put in place as she became fully healthy again, and her family proactively did some training sessions which helped them to understand and also overcome her anxiety.
Today, Kelce carries herself with a new confidence; she is not only adored by her adoptive family, but is fawned over by the extended family as well. Her adoptive parents say Kelce has changed their lives as she is a joy to have around. She spins in circles when excited, she will poke her people with her nose to alert them that it’s time for her dinner, and she is very fond of having a bite of her human’s food here and there. Kelce is calm and gentle; she fits in perfectly to her family’s relaxed, easy-going lifestyle. It is also important to note that she loves her feline sibling, Freddie!
