Personality: Dixie is a recent owner surrender and has proven to be as sweet as pie. She has a creamy, golden coat and a beautiful smile! While there is some confusion as to why her owner wanted to re-home her, she has done incredibly well in her foster home where she’s interacted with other dogs and children. She is possibly a golden mix, is pretty low energy as you’d expect for her age, and even feels comfortable enough to relax on the couch! She can be trusted to have free range of the house and doesn’t get into things.
Dixie enjoys being brushed, is house-trained, and is working on building up her stamina by taking longer daily walks. She loves to ride in the car and enjoys being petted by anyone who will show her affection. Dixie enjoys meeting new people and dogs and is ready to begin the next phase of her life.
Ideal Home: Dixie would do best in an easy-going household with people who will love on her and show her how good life can be. She can be a little anxious at times, so she needs a home that is patient and works with her to build her confidence and reassure her that she is safe and loved.
