Personality: Mason is a diamond in the rough. He is one sweetheart of a guy- intelligent, inquisitive and is more than ready to join the other members of his foster’s pack to play.  But just right now, Mason is recovering from surgery on his leg that limits his activities, including social interaction with the rest of the canine crew.  Through all of his pre- and post- op stress and pain, he has been a real trooper, and is now on the road to recovery at full speed. He is naturally curious about the world around him. His time enjoying the backyard has introduced him to deer and jack rabbits, which he finds incredibly interesting.

Besides a great personality, Mason is blessed with a beautiful white-gold coat and bright eyes.  This has not been lost on Emily, one of his foster’s other dogs, and they have become fast friends during his recuperation. He is an early riser, and awakes ready to play every morning. As his surgery site heals, he is already lobbying to head out the door for walks and rides in the car.  He wants to RUN more than anything else! All in due course.

Mason has been very affectionate with all the visitors to his foster household, but his feelings about cats are unknown at this point, and his exposure to other dogs has been limited due to his recuperation.  He has a calm disposition, and was not disturbed at all by the recent thunderstorms, taking them all in stride.

As Mason recovers, this big boy will reveal more aspects of his true character.  The glimpses he has shown already demonstrate what a fine young man he is.

Ideal Home:    Mason would appreciate an active household, and as he fully heals, will need daily exercise to expend his Golden energy.  Time for play and social skills training in his forever home are essential ingredients as well.
