Age: 3-4 years

Personality: Marley has an unfortunate story… she lived alone in an outdoor kennel for over a year before her owners realized they should do the right thing and offer her a better life in the care of GRR.  Since Marley spent the majority of her life confined to a small space, she is hoping to make up for that with lots of walks, exercise, and attention from loving humans!

Marley is reliably house-trained and loves to be petted.  If her foster parents forget, she’ll remind them with a gentle paw or push of her head.  She is high energy but calms down once indoors.  Her foster family trusts her to roam free in the house at night and she is baby-gated in a room if left alone.  Because of the lack of socialization in her early life, Marley doesn’t play with or retrieve toys.  She lacks confidence around other dogs and is learning how to walk on a leash.  Marley behaves well when her humans are eating or leave things out on the counters.

Ideal Home: Marley needs to be placed in an active home where humans are frequently home.  She loves to walk and will require regular exercise.  She has been exposed to children and they might help tire her out.  It is not known how she would do around other dogs or cats, so it may be best for her to be an only pet.  If you’re ready to add a furry blonde to your family, Marley would be happy to receive pets, treats, walks/jogs and lots of love!
