Age: 18 months

Personality: Luna is a petite young Golden girl, with a pale blonde fur coat, lacy long hair on her belly, and darker gold ears. However, she sports double rear dewclaws, typically indicating some Great Pyrenees in her blood lines. But make no mistake, Luna has all the Golden characteristics that make them stars in the canine world including “pantaloons” and tail feathering. Luna was in the shelter for 6 weeks, and therefore was somewhat skittish when first arriving in the GRR community. She happily meets other dogs, large and small, when they are friendly, but can appear timid when near an aggressive newcomer.

Luna is the epitome of a young energetic Golden puppy.  She is extremely intelligent and continuously takes it all in, formulating her next discovery. She is housebroken with no accidents to date. Since it appears she may have previously been more of an outside dog, the interior of her foster’s home is an adventure for her every minute. Mischief is her middle name. The bathroom trash can is fertile ground for discovery, with tissues being the best toy for shredding. Home-made cookies cooling on the counter? No problem helping herself to those! All par for the course in the Golden training regimen, and it appears she is a quick study when corrected.  She is well on her way to mastering sit and stay commands, and it appears she really enjoys learning.

As a result of her vet visit, she is confirmed healthy and fundamentally sound, with a good heart rate and clear eyes.

She LOVES entertaining herself with her new toys, and is adept at flipping them in the air. At the end of play time with her favorite toy of the moment, she will save it for next time by picking a corner hiding place.

As her foster said, “Definitely outgoing. Delightful personality. She is a charmer.”

Ideal home: Luna is quickly settling in to her new environment, and every indication is that she is an exceptional girl. Ideally, she is headed for a forever household with the time to consistently channel her puppy energy into becoming a well-mannered young lady. More details on her personality to come as she reveals it to her GRR foster parents.
