Jax came to GRR as an owner surrender.  He is just over 3 years old and so far he is doing great in his foster home.  He is in good health.  Jax looks like he is likely Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, but with his personality, there must be some golden in their somewhere. As you can see he is a beautiful boy.

Personality: Jax has made himself at home in his foster family and he seems to enjoy just about everything.  He is always up for going on a car ride and he loves going for long, brisk walks with his humans.  He is the sweetest boy who loves meal times, thus he does need to lose a few pounds, but this should be no problem with the exercise he is getting now.

Be prepared because everyone that has met Jax say he is a very social guy.  He can be a tad shy at first but warms up quickly.  He loves to be around people, or he is happy just hanging out on the couch with the family.  He has been described by his foster family as “a total charmer and a wonderful dog.”

Ideal Family: Jax will do great with most any family that is active and who will include him as part of the family.
