Happy Day (aka Plutarco) is one of the three beautiful goldens known as "The Three Amigos" that GRR brought in through a partnership with a Mexico City shelter. They were named after the Three Amigos from the movie of the same name. Besides Happy Day, we have Dusty Bottoms and Ned Nederlander. NOTE: The Mexico City Goldens have an increased adoption fee.

Personality:  Happy Day's personality fits his name to a tee. His fosters describe him as friendly and VERY, VERY happy in his new home country. He's an active dog and extremely outgoing. He loves people and affection, to the point of being fantastically clingy with his humans. Snuggling is his favorite thing. Happy adores people so much that he would love to share his foster’s bed at night, but for now he sleeps in a crate so he doesn’t become the bed hog that many goldens can be!

Happy has been to the doctor since coming to the U.S. and declared healthy but just a tiny bit underweight. That issue should be resolved in no time since he seems to be a complete chow hound! House training is a work in progress, but if you know anything about how smart golden retrievers are and how much they want to please, that should be taken care of in no time.

He’s good on the leash and is a good car rider because he loves it so much. He’s got the retrieving down pat, too.

In the words of his foster, Happy is “so very sweet.” What more could you ask for?

Ideal Home: Because of Happy's fondness for people and the fact that he may even love children more than grown up humans, a forever home with kids would be perfect for him. Other dogs in the household would be a plus, but his feelings about cats is an unknown at this point. His new family will need to work with him on some small, but fixable issues like being very food oriented.
