Age: 12

Weight: 44.5 lbs.

Personality: Goldie is a very sweet, mellow lady who finds herself in need of a more compatible environment.  In the recent past, her owner was not able to spend enough time with her; understanding her needs, her owner asked GRR to find her a new forever home.

For a mature Golden, Goldie is in good health.  She has a medium-gold coat with a slight “wave” to her fur that is very attractive! Goldie has a classic Golden Retriever personality.  She warms up to new friends quickly and cannot get to you fast enough to exchange affection. As you could expect, she is great company and is well versed in basic obedience commands like sit and come. Her manners are impeccable. For example, she does not jump up to get your attention as she approaches you. Goldie socializes very well with other dogs and cats, but has shown little tolerance for chickens!

One trait that is not uncommon is her fear of thunderstorms. When the thunder starts, she has anxiety which she shows by panting and clinging to anyone who will calmly reassure her. This reassurance soothes her fear; therefore, a family with someone home most of the time would be ideal. Other loud noises do not affect her – she looks in the direction of the noise and then settles down quickly.

Goldie will feel like she has won the lottery every morning when she is adopted by your family, and she will show you her forever gratitude by showering you with love and adoration back.

Ideal home: This is a wonderful companion for some lucky household because Goldie is more than ready to bond with her new family and share quality time. She would describe an ideal home as one with family members around as much as possible.
