Type of Surrender: Stray from Austin Animal Center

Status: Available

Age: 3-4 months

Weight: 13 lbs. and gaining

Personality: Dazzle is one half of the Razzle and Dazzle dynamic duo that is a tag team of pure puppy energy.  Being the bigger brother of the two, Dazzle thinks he has to show his brother Razzle everything. This includes wrestling techniques in their shared crate, tug of war with chew toys, and how to meet and greet other dogs.

According to his foster, Dazzle is very confident in familiar surroundings, but is still just puppy enough to be unsure in new settings.  Once on familiar territory, though, he is all in. He loves to be with people, and he has already learned how to crawl over the baby gate to be with his people. Boyishly independent, but high on the companionship scale!

At this age, he is just now getting into house training, but he is consistently very good about going outside.  On a recent car ride, Dazzle was calm and quiet, which bodes well for future expeditions to the park.

After brief introductory barks, Dazzle has gotten along well with two other dogs at his foster’s home, as well as with a cat. A short get acquainted period was all it took to be fast friends.

Dazzle loves to eat as much as his brother, and is food motivated, which is a good indicator for the success of upcoming training. His overall health is very good, following his vet visit.

As a high energy pup, Dazzle is such fun to be with and has that Golden companionship gene working overtime.  By all appearances, he is becoming a stellar Golden boy.

Ideal home: Based on his young age, Dazzle would be best in a home with his humans around during the day, rather than being alone during his early learning phase. He would also enjoy a home with other dogs which would provide plenty of needed interaction. For developing good manners, he needs a family with the time to provide training so he becomes the Golden he is destined to be. More details of his personality to be forthcoming from his GRR foster parent.
