Britney and Brandi were found wandering the streets with another dog in a South Austin neighborhood.  A good Samaritan was able to corral the two dogs into his back yard for safe keeping and began trying to locate their owners.  No one recognized the dogs, so it is unclear if they were lost or dumped. Thankfully the gentleman was referred to GRR and the rest is history!  These two beauties are bonded and have settled into their foster home together.  They are gentle, petite, and plump, and haven’t stopped wagging their tails since they came into care! Since they are obviously life-long BFFs, it is GRR’s wish that the two blonde beauties stay together. Just look at their pictures. They literally eat, drink and sleep together.

Britney

Age: Approximately 12

Personality: Britney appears to be a golden/lab mix. She is a sweet, petite happy girl. While she does have some health issues, these are being taken care of by GRR and she is doing well in her foster home with Brandi.

Britney doesn’t jump, she walks well on a leash, and loves the company of her foster mom.

She is quite bonded to her partner in crime (Lucy and Ethyl, Thelma and Louise?), their tails always wagging. She seems to like other dogs as well, but she has not been exposed to a cat.

Britney is a gentle dog who would make anyone’s heart swell with love. Walks are happily welcome and down time is, too!

Brandi

Age: Approximately 8-10

Weight: 58

Personality: Brandy has creamy curls, and smiley, big, brown eyes. If that sounds great, then Brandi is your girl, especially since she also loves cuddles.

Brandi is a very calm, happy girl who loves everyone she meets!  She can be trusted to roam free in the house and is house-trained.  She is an excellent leash-walker and loves to go on short walks a couple of times per day.

Brandi enjoys being groomed, gets along well with other dogs (especially her pal Britney), smiles ALL THE TIME, and follows her foster Mom everywhere.

Ideal Home: Brandi and Britney’s ideal home would be the same home. They should be with someone who is home and wants constant love and affection!  They would both be perfect, low-key companions. Brandi has hip pain and is a little overweight, so her forever home should be prepared to take her on frequent short walks and provide pain meds for her hips. Brandi also has cataracts, but they don’t slow her down one bit.

Again, ideally these two girls would love to stay together with a loving family who wants to help two old gals live out their lives comfortably and with love.
