Personality: Why does Gold Ribbon Rescue have a black lab mix up for adoption, you may ask. Sadie came in with her life-long companion, Tristan (GRR 16-073) who is a golden retriever. They were brought in together because their owner at the time felt they were bonded and should stay together. However, their fosters  have determined that both dogs would blossom best with more individual attention so they have been separated, each to find their own special forever family.

Like Tristan, Sadie is a seasoned veteran when it comes to good dog behavior. No crate for her! She’s well-mannered enough to roam the house unfettered by those crate walls, but thunder makes her a bit nervous. She sleeps peacefully through the night and has not had one accident in her foster’s house. She’s good in the car and enjoys long walks, although she does pull a bit at first until she calms down.

Ideal home: Sadie would do well in a forever home where she is the only dog and with no cats. Her activity level is average and a family that would take her for a walk or two a day would be greatly appreciated!
