Personality: Ramona is active, sweet, healthy, and full of life!  Her previous owner affectionately described Ramona as having a “big goofy grin” – this smiling girl wants to play all day and loves to get attention and pets from her humans.  This red-colored Golden retriever is true to her name – she loooooooves to retrieve and will bring the ball back to you all day long.

Ramona is a great companion to dogs and cats alike – she’s a social butterfly!  She also loves kids!  She needs a little help with her socialization because she can be overly eager at playtime, but training will help Ramona learn her boundaries.  Ramona loves chickens a little too much – she will chase them – so this girl would do best in a home without those tempting little birds.  Ramona also has a naughty but funny little habit of shredding stuffed toys, but this is not an uncommon habit for many young Goldens.

Since coming to Gold Ribbon Rescue, Ramona has been refining her good manners.  She is housebroken and is currently being crate-trained by her foster family.  Ramona is also learning how to ride in a car – her first experience made her nervous, but that’s understandable for a first time passenger!  With her foster parents and fellow canine housemates, she learning how to properly play and behave around others.

Ideal home: Ramona would do great with an active, savvy family who can train and socialize her – she’s still a puppy, after all!  This girl is super friendly and loves, loves, loves attention – she will thrive in a home who can give her lots of time, affection, and love.  Kids who can play with her are A-OK too!  Ramona does great with other pets (dogs and cats), but she likes to chase chickens – it would be best if she resided in a home without birds!
