Personality: Oscar Is a very sweet, mature gentleman. He will sleep in the house during the day, when he is left along while foster mom goes to work. He loves to go on squirrel patrol with his foster brother Scooter when they are outside. His energy level is low to medium, depending on what’s going on.

Oscar is house-trained, although he has had one poo accident. He takes his treats gently, but also would love to have the treats offered to the other dogs around, too. Then he wants them all! He’s good in the car and pulls just a little on the leash, but a harness puts a stop to that. Like any able-bodied dog, he loves to sniff around and mark all the spots that he deems markable!

Foster mom isn’t sure yet if he likes to retrieve. Oscar has to stay calm until he is through with his heartworm treatment. He will carry the ball around for a while. When it’s grooming time, he is the proverbial wiggle worm. He seems very interested on what might be on the kitchen counter and has responded with a couple of surfing incidents. He hasn’t spilled or broken anything with that constantly happy, waggling tail when walking by the coffee tables.

Ideal Home: Oscar needs a home that would love and care for a low energy dog and continue to teach him his manners. He does get along well with other dogs, so a friend to interact with might suit him.
