Personality: Oliver must be one special Golden! Just listen to the accolades he has received across all categories in the brief time since his rescue.

Medical perspective - Following his medical exam, his veterinarian exclaimed “He looks great – he is a wonderful specimen – handsome – and has not been stray long because he is in such good shape. Beautiful teeth. Ears, eyes, skin all look great.”

Intelligence level – Given a short time in his first GRR household, he “quickly figured out the key to unlatching the baby gate, so he could join the other canines in romping around inside the house”.

Training, energy level and agility – Oliver is a “pro ball player, brings the ball back and drops it. Someone has worked with this dog. He is a natural athlete, extremely quick reflexes, active but also can relax, and (once again) smart”.

Socialization and Interaction – Oliver is somewhat of a Don Juan, from these comments. “All four female dogs at my house think he is delightful. Would make a good match for a female dog”. After he transitioned to his second GRR foster family, his foster commented “He’s exuberant, adorable, and a very curious little guy. He and Jilly took immediately and he’s VERY smitten with her.” Quite the man about town. He also joined an older human visitor on the couch and promptly climbed in his lap.

Manners – Oliver sits when you bring him his meals, and sleeps quietly all night. “He is a very good car rider, and his house training is going great. He is trustworthy loose in the house”.

The votes are in. Oliver is an outstanding canine that will bring pure fun and companionship to some lucky family.

Ideal home: Ideally, Oliver would be in a situation where there were one or more other dogs and plenty of human interaction. He has shown all the characteristics that make for a Golden family member. More details will emerge as he has more time with his GRR foster parents.
