Now that Lady Bird has spent about 6 weeks on this side of the pond, she has gone from being a stressed and nervous little girl to a confident, happy lady who wants to explore the world with a certain “joie devivre” attitude.
Lady Bird loves everyone! She enjoys others dogs and likes to engage them in a game of wrestle—and-bitey head. Lady Bird loves adults and especially children. She is especially interested in squirrels and has shown a little too much attention to the neighbor cat so it’s best that she goes to a home without cats.
Because of Lady Bird’s love of her new life in Texas, she tries very hard to explore and see new things much of the time. On leash, Lady Bird is very strong and when she sees something that interests her and wants to check it out, she uses all of her energy to pull very hard on leash --- she’s just excited to see things but can be quite strong. Lady Bird will benefit from basic obedience training classes and would probably be the star of the class! She knows sit, but is a little confused about her other commands. She is learning her English as we practice every day.
Lady Bird loves to be outside searching for squirrels, watching birds and just sunning on the deck. You can tell this girl spent a lot of time outdoors and she really enjoys it.
She is friendly, affectionate, loves to be petted and told what a “good girl” she is. She loves to snuggle, cuddle and be as close to you as she can --- Lady Bird bonds to her people very quickly. When she is happy or excited, she has the cutest little snort. She is most confident with other dogs so she will really need a home with at least one other dog and hopefully someone who can be home with her most of the time.
